EL PASO, Texas ( KTSM ) — Aliviane, a leading nonprofit organization that provides substance abuse treatment and support services, will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new substance abuse residential treatment facility.

The ceremony will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 16 at 3801 Mattox in East El Paso near El Paso International Airport.

The facility will be a “cutting-edge facility designed to offer a wide range of services to adults struggling with substance abuse disorders,” the organization said in a news release.

“According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), over 21 million Americans have at least one addiction, yet only 10% receive treatment. The economic burden of substance use in the U.S. exceeds $740 billion annually due to healthcare costs, lost productivity, and criminal justice involvement,” according to the news release.

Aliviane’s new residential treatment center is poised “to be a crucial local resource in addressing this pervasive issue,” the organization said in its news release.

The facility will offer individual and group therapy, case management, medical care and family support and the center “aims to provide the El Paso community with the tools needed to combat substance use disorders effectively,” the organization said.

“With this new facility, Aliviane is committed to meeting the increasing demand for effective substance use treatment in El Paso,” said Ivonne Tapia, CEO of Aliviane. “Our cutting-edge center will serve as a beacon of hope for individuals and families impacted by substance use, offering a safe and supportive environment for recovery.”
