Park Board updated on construction
The Lebanon Park Board discussed its May financial report and received updates on its summer programs as well as construction taking place in various parks at its monthly meeting Wednesday. Parks Director John Shelton presented the department’s May financial report, which he described as being positive. “We should be in very good financial shape to start next season,” Shelton said. Governor candidate Eigel campaigns in Lebanon
Bill Eigel, a candidate for governor, made a campaign stop in Lebanon Friday morning. Eigel spoke to supporters at Cafe’ Judes in Downtown Lebanon. He fielded questions about how he would deal with illegal immigrant, state support for veterans and education. Eigel is seeking the Republican nomination in the Aug. 6 primary election. The other major candidates include Lt. Gov. Mike Kehoe and Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft. Eigel is currently a state senator serving the 23rd district and lives in Weldon Spring.
