    Elizabethton Police Department arrest reports

    The following arrests have been reported by the Elizabethton Police Department:

    On Aug. 19, Officer Matthew Goldberg responded to a theft report at 1025 Bluefield Ave. Upon arrival, Officer Goldberg encountered Sidney Q. Jones, who had been previously evicted from the property. Jones was arrested for criminal trespass and found in possession of a Regions Bank debit card belonging to the victim and a set of Toyota car keys. Jones was transported to Carter County Detention Center and given a court date of Sept. 30, 2024.

    On Aug. 17, Officer Matthew Goldberg responded to a report of a disorderly individual at Covered Bridge Park. Robert Paul Metz was found lying in a gazebo, exhibiting signs of intoxication. Metz admitted to having consumed alcohol and was unable to follow simple instructions. He was arrested for public intoxication and transported to the Carter County Detention Center. Metz has a court date of Sept. 9, 2024.

    On Aug. 16, Officer Nicholas Kerns was dispatched to the 1200 block of Bluefield Ave. for a trespassing complaint. Christopher Price, who had previously been banned from the property, was found inside the apartment. Price was issued a criminal summons for trespassing and provided a court date of Sept. 9, 2024. He was advised to appeal the trespass order through property management.

    On Aug. 16, Corporal Spencer Ward found Jamie Dean Ashley lying face down on a bench at the Tweetsie Trail. Ashley exhibited signs of intoxication and admitted to taking Gabapentin and methamphetamine. He was arrested for public intoxication. An outstanding warrant for failure to appear was also served. Ashley was taken to Carter County Detention Center, and his court date is set for Sept. 9, 2024.

    On Aug. 10, Officer Ryan Manuel encountered Kyrie Lynn Koerber near the intersection of Milligan Highway and Old Lewis Road, where she was behaving erratically. Koerber admitted to recent drug use and failed field sobriety tests. She was arrested for DUI, first offense, and charged with driving on a suspended license, third offense. Koerber’s driver’s license was suspended for prior offenses.

    On Aug. 9, a blue Chevy S10 truck driven by Janett Nicole Combs was stopped for speeding on West G Street. Combs’ driver’s license was found to be suspended, and she had no proof of insurance. Combs was issued a citation in lieu of arrest and given a court date of Aug. 21, 2024.

    Note: All arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
