ELIZABETHTON, Tenn. (WJHL) — After an hour-and-a-half rain delay, several good golfers were hovering around the lead at the 29th annual William B. Greene Jr. East Tennessee Amateur at the Elizabethton golf course on Sunday.

There is a shot of the golfers seeking shelter as the rain/lightning moves through the area when they got back on the course. Everyone was chasing Nick Cohen here on 15 with the short birdie putt sinks, he fired a 69 today.

Giving chase was Matt Bowers, his putt was a little longer on 15 but he rolled it in for the birdie, he fired a 67 for a 204 in 3 days. Brandon Worley who was a stroke off the lead rolled this in for a par on the 15th he finished with a 69 for a 3-day finish of 203.

Lawrence Largent started the day tied with Cohen, here on 18 chipping from just off the green rolling it up close, and tapping in for the par. He finishes with a 70 and a 3-day total of 203.

Cohen led by a stroke when he tapped in this short putt for a par on the 18th to win the East Tennessee Amateur by one stroke after shooting a 69 for a 3-day total of 202.

This is the second time he has won the ETA trophy and a big check.

“It always feels good. This is kind of the premier tournament in our area, so super thankful to be here, and to win it again feels just as good as the first time made a couple of mistakes. Right after making the turn, I was behind. And then as soon as we got to about 11 or 12, the skies started to open, starting to look like we might get it in. So I just all I could do is control what I can control and try to play every shot the best that I could,” says Cohen.
