Adrien Dumont de Chassart 1-on-1 pre-John Deere Classic

Davenport fire suspect spat on firefighter, officials say
An 18-year-old Davenport man was in custody Tuesday after police say he is a suspect in an arson, according to a news release. Shortly before 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, the Davenport Fire Department responded to the 1000 block of Grand Court for a structure fire. Crews responded with three engines, two ladder trucks, and a district chief, for an initial response of 16 personnel.

This sweet photograph of a little girl with her doll in an outdoor scene was taken in 1918 by J. B. Hostettler of Davenport, Iowa. The original negative envelope was labeled “Mrs. Seth Temple daughter.” From our research, we have learned that this little girl’s name was Alice Muriel Temple. She was the daughter of Seth Justin Temple and Alice Maude Gamble. She was born on August 2, 1909 in Davenport, Iowa. She had four siblings named Holmes (1897-1912), Gilbert (1899-1983), Arthur (1902-1951), and Malcolm (1906-1997).

Postal supervisor arrested for stealing hundreds of greeting cards, money inside
QUAD CITIES, Ill./Iowa (KWQC) - Police said a Moline postal supervisor stole mail he believed were greeting cards that contained cash or gift cards. Justin Brown was arrested June 28 after Davenport Police searched his home and found 487 cards greetings cards for weddings, birthdays, graduations and Father’s Day, according to arrest affidavits.
Cuddle and Comfort event with Kings Harvest Pet Rescue
DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - The Kings Harvest Pet Rescue Shelter will be hosting a Cuddle and Comfort event on Wednesday evening to soothe shelter pets. The shelter says they are hosting the event to raise awareness that some pets are afraid of fireworks and tend to get lost. Pets get lost more around 4th of July than any other time of the year.
