This Saturday’s Covered Bridge Jams Concert will feature the local group “From the Edge.”

“We are very excited to have this awesome local group with us this Saturday night,” stated Director of Parks and Recreation David Nanney.

“From the Edge” is a new and fresh rock ‘n’ roll cover band with members from East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia. The band plays a variety of venues, from pubs and parties to weddings and festivals. They provide an electric mix of Southern rock and country to your favorite oldies.

Influences include Journey, Fleetwood Mac, Prince, ’80s hair bands, Eagles, Pretenders, Bryan Adams, and a lot of preferred ’80s music.

Elizabethton Parks and Recreation is proud to bring this free weekly summer concert series. Several food trucks will be on hand throughout the night.

“Come on down to Covered Bridge Park Saturday at 7 p.m. Bring your lawn chair and sit back and enjoy a fantastic free concert,” said Nanney. For more information, contact Elizabethton Parks and Recreation at 423-547-6441.
