The names of the two people killed on June 28, 2024, allegedly by their son, have been released by the Sacramento County Coroner. 73-year-old Augusto Navarrete and 70-year-old Marjorie Navarrete were identified as the two victims. Inmate dies at Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center, autopsy ordered
SACRAMENTO, California — A 41-year-old male inmate died while in custody at the Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center (RCCC) late Friday night. The inmate, who had been in custody since March 28, 2024, on a felony warrant brought by the Sacramento Police Department, was housed in the Christopher Boone Facility (CBF). According to a press release from the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office, deputies were alerted by an inmate worker that another inmate needed medical assistance.
