The Red Lobster in Elkhart is one of more than 50 of the restaurants that recently closed. Contents of the restaurants are being sold in an online auction.

The auction of items at the 3009 Brittany Court, Elkhart, location is already underway and ends at 8:30 a.m. May 16. TAGeX Brands is conducting the liquidations.

“Our goal with online auctions is to prevent high-quality items from being discarded in landfills, instead promoting their sustainable reuse,” said Neal Sherman, founder and CEO of TAGeX Brands, the operator of RestaurantEquipment.Bid, in a press release. “This approach economically benefits the original owners and helps surviving restaurant operators by offering them reduced prices during liquidation events.”

One winner will receive the contents of the restaurant in its entirety. The transfers are scheduled for May 17.

Items at the Elkhart location include ovens, refrigerators, bar and dining materials.

TAGeX Brands was founded in 1987 in the Washington D.C. area. It has locations in upstate New York and Dallas, Texas.
