Road America preps for IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship weekend

ELKHART LAKE - Road America will welcome back the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge Aug. 1-4.

This year’s event will feature the Mustang Challenge and the Porsche Carrera Cup, a news release said.

Last year, Road America had its largest IMSA weekend crowd in more than four decades. The 2023 event was highlighted by the No. 7 Penske Porsche, driven by Matt Campbell and Felipe Nasr, securing victory as the sixth different winner in seven WeatherTech Championship races.

Fans are encouraged to secure tickets, golf carts and camping spots early.

Road America is at N 7390 State 67, Plymouth. Admission is free for anyone 16 and younger when accompanied by a paying adult at the gate. For full event dates, details and ticket information, visit roadamerica.com or call 800-365-7223.
