2024 NC Trail Days a success

The fifth annual NC Trail Days festival was a success, organizers said, though they hope to continue improving the event each year. The festival is a celebration of nature in the Yadkin Valley with multiple guided hikes and other special events hosted in Elkin, Jonesville, and Stone Mountain.

This year’s vendor fair moved from Main St. in Elkin to the lawn beside the Heritage & Trails Center while musicians performed on the new stage there. Numerous local bands performed in Elkin and at the Jonesville Greenway.

Festival Director Logan Haynes praised the work of the many volunteers that helped make this year’s event a success.

“NC Trail Days simply could not persist without the committed efforts and genuine enthusiasm of volunteers. Whether you orchestrated one of the events during the weekend, led an activity or hike, tabled at the Heritage Center, or assisted with the set-up/clean-up, I cannot express enough how grateful I am for the help you provided,” Haynes said.
