Grand Jury issues indictments for endangerment, drug trafficking crimes
A Christian County Grand Jury issued indictments for wanton endangerment, drug trafficking and abuse-related crimes on Friday. Charles Berry, age 27 of Hopkinsville, was indicted on multiple drug charges after Hopkinsville Police executed a probation violation warrant against Berry and reportedly found him to be in possession of drugs in May. Berry was indicted on charges of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, trafficking in synthetic drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Toddler hospitalized for overdose, mother arrested for drug trafficking in Hopkinsville
HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A woman in Hopkinsville was arrested after her 20-month-old child was hospitalized for ingesting cocaine. Hopkinsville Police officers were called Jennie Stuart Medical Center when the child was admitted on July 20. He showed symptoms of an overdose, and hospital staff gave him multiple doses of Narcan to combat it, according to a police report. Tests revealed he had cocaine in his system, and he was transferred to Vanderbilt in Nashville for more advanced medical care.

Police have released more information about a wreck on Major Lane in Hopkinsville that sent three people to the hospital Friday afternoon. Hopkinsville Police say a car driven by 19-year-old Emily Noland was turning onto Cadiz Road from Major Lane when it collided with an eastbound SUV driven by 53-year-old Hope Smith of Crofton.

A woman was charged with fleeing from law enforcement with a child in the vehicle on Fort Campbell Boulevard Thursday night. Hopkinsville Police say they attempted to stop a vehicle driven by 23-year-old Izabel-Maribel Ical-Coy for speeding. She stopped and then continued before coming to a final stop on Walnut Street.
