Tennessee Man Faces Charges In Logan County
A man wanted out of Tennessee was arrested in Logan County on Friday evening following a high-speed chase and a foot pursuit. Around 5 p.m. Friday, the Logan County Sheriff’s Office located a vehicle matching the description of one used in an alleged prior shoplifting at Farmer’s Home Furniture in Russellville, according to a citation.
Massive solar farm planned for coal mine site in eastern Kentucky
A massive solar farm is in the works at the site of one of the largest coal mines in southern Appalachia. BrightNight, the developer behind the planned farm at the decades-old Starfire coal mine near Hazard, Kentucky, says the project could help reinvigorate a region where thousands of mining jobs have been lost. Construction on the first phases could begin as soon as 2026.
