The Twins released veteran reliever Jay Jackson, relays Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic. The righty had been outrighted last month and wasn’t on the 40-man roster. Jackson made 20 MLB appearances with Minnesota early in the year. He struggled to a 7.52 earned run average despite striking out 29 hitters while only issuing nine walks.
