UMC WOMEN’S BASKETBALL SIGNS 6’2 POST FROM WASECA
The University of Minnesota Crookston women’s basketball program announced the addition of Kloe Wadd (F/C, 6-2, Waseca, Minn./Waseca H.S.). Wadd will be a sophomore at Minnesota Crookston and is the sixth signee for the Golden Eagles joining Brynlea Mahlen of Fosston, Emme Munch of Boise, Idaho, Emma Osborn of Crookston and a transfer from NCTC, Willow Thiel of Perham, and Halle Winjum of Crookston.

Exceptions approved for downtown hotel
The city of Winona Board of Adjustment (BOA) granted 60 Main developers’ request last week to allow for fewer windows than normally required on some sides of the hotel-apartment building currently under construction downtown. BOA members noted the city’s downtown aesthetic rules are geared toward retail spaces and said the rules may not be as applicable for 60 Main, a residential-focused project. BOA members also highlighted other buildings in the same area with few windows and other projects that received exceptions — or variances — to the window requirements.

Standard Communities Acquires Rivertown Commons Affordable Community in Stillwater, Minnesota for $27.8M
STILLWATER, Minn. — Standard Communities has made its first investment in Minnesota, acquiring Rivertown Commons, a 96-unit affordable seniors housing community in Stillwater. The transaction is capitalized at $27.8 million. Stillwater is located along the St. Croix River separating Minnesota from Wisconsin, just east of the Twin Cities area.

His reasons remain mysterious, but he likely either failed his physical or the Texans made him a better offer. Another addition might come soon, as the Vikings are one running back short of the desired number.

Kwik Trip Adds New Area Location
(KNSI) – A soft opening on Thursday is easing the newest area Kwik Trip location into action. Situated on Rolling Ridge Road near Highway 10 on the east end of Becker, customers are already being cashed out with the customary, friendly “We’ll see you next time,” ringing from behind the counter. The official ribbon cutting ceremony for the station will be Thursday, August 1st, at 11:00 a.m.
