Pinellas County 'John Doe' identified decades later
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — A man who was found on a St. Petersburg street in 1992 was identified more than 30 years later thanks to updated DNA technology. In July 1992, a white man was found on a sidewalk in the area of 19th Street and Central Avenue. He was transported to the hospital where he was diagnosed with head trauma and he died two months later in a nursing home.

Seminole council approves stormwater plan
SEMINOLE — City Council has adopted a Stormwater Master Plan, crafted by its project consultant in a years-long process featuring extensive public input. Elie Araj, president of Applied Sciences Consulting of Tampa, told council members at a July 23 meeting that the firm’s aim in fashioning the plan was to help coordinate agencies involved in water and stormwater management and to identify local stormwater issues.
