Crooked catch is a ‘shocking’ discovery by biologists in Florida
Florida wildlife biologists conducting an electrofishing survey of Silver Glen Springs made an odd catch that resembled one from a few weeks ago. The biologists captured a longnose gar that featured a distinct bend in the middle of its body. “Unlike the bull shark with a spinal deformity that we shared a few weeks ago, this fish likely got its interesting shape from a spinal injury at some point in its life,” the FWC Fish and Wildlife Research Institute stated on Facebook. Marion County, Fla. – As the country commemorates America’s Independence this Fourth of July weekend, a man celebrates his newfound liberty. Ryan Holle, 41, was just released from jail after serving more than half of his life behind bars. The ABC Action News I-Team first interviewed Holle two years ago while examining the statute that landed him in prison – Florida’s “felony murder rule”. Under that state legislation, someone might be sentenced to life in prison even if they did not kill anyone, were not present at the crime scene, or were unaware of what happened.

Guilty plea entered by Tampa resident in major drug trafficking case
Tampa, Florida – United States Attorney Roger B. Handberg announced that Zecki Halum, 40, from Tampa, has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute over 100 kilograms of marijuana. Halum faces a minimum mandatory penalty of 5 years and up to 40 years in federal prison. A sentencing date has not yet been set.
Water Restrictions Extended in Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas Counties
As the Tampa Bay region continues to experience drier-than-normal weather conditions, residents will continue to only be allowed to irrigate their lawns once-a-week. The Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD) is extending the watering restrictions in place for Hillsborough County, Pasco County, and Pinellas County until September 1, 2024. Officially referred to as the “Modified Phase 1 Water Shortage Order,” the once-a-week watering restrictions initially went into effect on December 1, 2023.

When you find out the reasoning, you will be shocked. At first I felt bad, thinking that this really may be a mental health crisis. However if he really needed the help, there are other ways he could have went about it. Let me know your thoughts on this situation. People have to stop misusing 911 and having the police come out for dumb reasons. There are actually people who have emergencies out there and really need the police.
