Wichita State University students will now pay a reduced rate for general medicine provider office visits at Student Health Services (SHS). While office visits, on paper, will appear to increase in price from $30 or $35 to $50, SHS Director Heather Stafford said “no WSU student will pay more than $25 for an office visit.”

Application window now open to join Lyon County Master Gardeners
If you are looking to join the Lyon County Master Gardeners your window of opportunity is now open. In a news release earlier this week, Lyon County Research and Extension announced the application window for the group is now open through the end of the month. Family escapes injury despite camper overturned in storm at Wilson Lake
A line of storms with high winds was predicted to move across Kansas in the final hours leading into the Fourth of July holiday Thursday. Foundation poured for Dollar Tree in east Emporia
It isn’t paving paradise to put up a parking lot, but construction in northeast Emporia is replacing the Family Fun Center with a Dollar Tree. With the foundation recently poured, Emporia city officials confirmed basic plans for a roughly 9,800 square-foot building at 920 East 12th, between Old Rum’s Liquor and Goodcents.
