One hospitalized following two-vehicle collision south of Emporia Friday
An Emporia woman was hospitalized after a two-vehicle collision south of Emporia Friday afternoon. The accident was reported at 4:45 pm at the intersection of Kansas Highway 99 and Road 150, two miles south of Emporia. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2011 Cadillac Escalade, driven by 81-year-old Charles Jeanneret of Olpe, was traveling northbound on K99 behind a 2010 Chevrolet Traverse driven by 24-year-old Neida Rosales of Emporia, when the Traverse slowed to make a turn onto Road 150.

It isn’t paving paradise to put up a parking lot, but construction in northeast Emporia is replacing the Family Fun Center with a Dollar Tree.
