Brand Park hosts first concert of 2024 summer series

ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM) — Brand Park in Elmira hosted the first concert of the 2024 Brank Park Summer Concert Series. A concert is scheduled every Sunday through the summer until August 25, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Many concertgoers gathered around the park to listen to music pieces performed by the band called the White River Band. People in attendance were well-tuned to the band’s performance as some of them spontaneously got up and danced to the music. In a Facebook post Brand Park Beautification Committee stated that this year marks the 22nd annual year of the summer concerts.

One of the concertgoers John Basilion said it was his first time going to the concert and added, “First time I think it’s great, they should do it more often, they got all summer.”

Another concertgoer Echo Massey who has been to a lot of the summer concerts added, “A lot of people we run into, people that we see every year and they all come back and everybody’s so friendly and everybody talks to everybody and it’s mainly the same people that we see every year.”

The next Sunday’s concert will feature the band Little Rowdy.
