On April 15, 2022, New York Islanders legend and Hockey Hall of Famer Mike Bossy passed away after battling lung cancer.

The 65-year-old was one of, if not the best, pure goal-scorers the NHL has ever seen, scoring 573 goals in 752 career games.

The four-time Stanley Cup champion is being honored this month by the NHL as they celebrate their 25th anniversary of Hockey Fights cancer:

Bossy's career was cut short due to a back injury, but the show he put on for Islanders fans over his 10 years on Long Island is still felt today.

If you have the ability to do so, please click HERE to donate to Hockey Fights Cancer as we try to find a cure for this terrible disease.
