Board of Ethics disagrees with Town Board on TB1---I will request that Board suspend implementation
TB 1 prohibits members of Planning Board, Zoning Board and CAC from serving on non profit boards promoting affordable housing. On July 17th the Town Board issued a statement about TB1 –regarding why four of the five Board members (I voted no) voted to enact a new policy prohibiting key members of organizations whose primary function involves land use initiatives from being members of the town’s land use boards and committees. Burgos abruptly announces resignation, effective immediately
In a surprise Friday afternoon announcement, Assembly Member Kenny Burgos released a statement saying that he had resigned from the state Legislature, effective immediately. The move brings Democrats’ ranks in the Assembly down to 100, the lowest it has been in years and the bare minimum to hold onto the party’s veto-proof supermajority.
Town of Greenwich Hires New Town Administrator
First Selectman Fred Camillo has announced the hiring of Kathleen Buch as the new Town Administrator and COO. Her hiring is effective September 23, 2024. Buch’s hiring comes after a thorough, open search and she will succeed current Town Administrator and COO Ben Branyan, who has taken the position of chief financial and administrative officer of the Greenwich Public Schools. Buch is currently the Town Administrator of the Town of Darien and said she is eager for the new challenges of coming to work in Greenwich.
