EP10: The Color of Wealth in Chicago, Sing Sing Prison
In June 2024, the report “Color of Wealth Chicago” was released, which discusses wealth inequities across racial lines and contextualizes these inequities by adopting a historical approach. We speak with Dr. Suparna Bhaskaran (Institute on Race, Power and Political Economy at New School), one of the co-authors, about the mechanisms through which power has been transferred away from Indigenous, Black, Mexican, and Puerto Rican communities.
