Burglary Suspect Flees Sunset Park Home After Resident Yells
On July 23, 2024, a resident in Montclair’s Sunset Park neighborhood reported that he was asleep on the second floor of his home when he observed someone outside of his bedroom door with a flashlight. The resident yelled at the suspect who in turn fled downstairs and out of the house. It appears as though the suspect made entry through a first-floor window. The resident was unable to provide a description of the suspect.

Belleville Man Killed in Motorcycle Accident on Route 1 in Edison
EDISON, NJ - A Belleville man was killed in a motorcycle accident on Sunday night on Route 1 near Old Post Road, according to Edison Police. Authorities confirmed that Alexander Chong, age 45, was killed in the accident and another cyclist was injured. At 8:15 PM, police say a group of motorcyclists was traveling on Route 1 North at a high speed.
