Wilmington Police Searching For Missing Woman
On 07/10/2024 at approximately 4:45pm our agency received a report of a missing female from Fulton St. in Wilmington who was reportedly experiencing a mental health crisis causing concern for her safety. Officer’s searched the City of Wilmington and surrounding areas with no success in locating the woman, identified as Jennifer Tannhauser. Jennifer’s vehicle was located less than 24 hours later in Kankakee County parked in a conservation area off of Warner Bridge Rd. Officers from multiple agencies have spent the last five days searching the area where her vehicle was found, along with K-9 officers and drones. Multiple efforts have also been made on the Kankakee River, all with no success in locating Jennifer.

Twelve Sent To Hospitals In Joliet After Carbon Monoxide Poisoning
Joliet Fire department responded to approximately 100 call during the peak of last night’s storm. Numerous calls for wires down, tree limbs that had fallen on structures and loss of power to residences. No injuries reported from the storm but a carbon monoxide situation occurred due to a basement generator.
Joliet Fire Department On The Scene Of House Fire Within 4 Minutes Of the Call
At 3:30 p.m. on July 12th the Joliet Fire Department responded to the 400 Block of Ohio St. for reports of a structure fire. The first units arrived within 4 minutes of the call and were met with smoke coming from the roof of a 2-story single family dwelling. Pre-connect lines were used to extinguish fire. One resident was able to get out of the building and was treated on the scene and released. Other crews performed water supply, search, ventilation, salvage and overhaul, safety and support functions. Crews were on the scene for approximately 90 minutes.

MFPD Responds to Peotone Structural Fire – No Injuries
At approximately 4:22 p.m. on July 10, the Manhattan Fire Protection District (MFPD) was dispatched to a reported structural fire in the 200 block of West Street in Peotone. The first units arrived on scene within three minutes of the initial call for service. Fire crews reported moderate smoke and flames showing from a two-story residential structure. House in Rural Wilmington Destroyed By Fire
A fire that occurred to a house in the 29,000 block of South Warner Bridge Road in rural Wilmington is under investigation. The Wilmington Fire Department said the fire started around 2:15 a.m. on Saturday, July 13th. Upon arrival, a two-story residence was found heavily involved with fire and a partial collapse of the roof structure.
