Glenwood council backs general obligation bonds for street repairs, public safety equipment
(Glenwood) -- Glenwood officials have backed issuing bonds to help finance city infrastructure and public safety upgrades. Meeting in regular session Tuesday night, the Glenwood City Council unanimously approved a resolution providing for the issuance of up to just over $3 million in general obligation corporate purpose and refunding bonds. Glenwood City Administrator Amber Farnan tells KMA News much of the funding will go towards road projects, including the reconstruction of a portion of Red Bud Avenue. While they are still working on a timeline with the city engineer for when all the projects will occur, she says the bond would cover many needed street repairs.

Forum will look at election inegrity, show off voting equipment
