    Meghan Markle’s much-anticipated lifestyle brand is overcoming trademark issues as it prepares for its official launch later this year.

    Meghan Markle’s American Riviera Orchard is set to make its official debut later this year, despite recent reports of trademark issues. The Duchess of Sussex, who has been eagerly preparing for this launch, is poised to bring her vision of a lifestyle brand to fruition. 

    Although the Daily Mail reported on August 8 that the U.S. Patents and Trademarks Office had flagged irregularities in the brand’s application, sources close to the venture have clarified that these are standard procedures and have been addressed.

    The brand, which first appeared online in March, was initially represented by a gold-script logo and the word "Montecito," reflecting its roots in the Southern Californian town where Meghan and Prince Harry reside. 

    According to People magazine, the American Riviera Orchard brand has had irregularities in the matter of clarifications of goods and services, as well as reclassification of certain products due to the difference between international and U.S. standards, but all fees have been paid appropriately.

    Early glimpses of American Riviera Orchard have included artisanal strawberry jam, which has garnered attention from various celebrities, including Mindy Kaling and Chrissy Teigen. 

    This initial product release set the tone for what is expected to be a diverse range of offerings.

    The brand’s name, inspired by the nickname for Santa Barbara, symbolizes Meghan's new chapter in California, embracing themes of family, cooking, and home décor.

    This venture follows the closure of her previous lifestyle blog, The Tig, and will encompass a variety of products including home décor, pet accessories, and gourmet food items.

    Additionally, Meghan’s upcoming cooking show with Netflix, directed by Michael Steed and featuring showrunner Leah Hariton, is expected to align closely with American Riviera Orchard’s themes. 

    This series aims to celebrate cooking, gardening, and the joys of entertaining, echoing the personal passions that Meghan hopes to share through her brand.

    With trademark issues addressed and a vibrant array of products on the horizon, American Riviera Orchard is gearing up to offer a reflection of Meghan Markle’s personal style and interests.
