Michigan’s Largest Pickleball Complex Set to Open in 2025
Fans of America's fast growing sport will soon have a new place to play in Michigan. The state's largest indoor pickleball complex is set to open its doors in 2025. The Northville Pickleball Club, a 50,000-square-foot facility, will be located on the Ward Church campus in Northville, about 30 miles west of Detroit.
Michigan Native’s Unique National Anthem Overshadows Home Run Derby
The Home Run Derby is one of the most exciting events in all of sports, its comparable to the 3-point shootout, the dunk contest, hockey shootout, penalty kicks, and other all-star/ skill competitions that take place in sports. Both die-hard and casual baseball fans turn their heads and give their undivided attention to the MLB Home Run Derby and celebrate all of the moonshot mania that occurs. I would say this year's Derby was no different but that couldn't be farther from the truth.

Michigan gymnast reaches new heights by making USA Olympic team
Michigan’s Paul Juda was on the fringe entering the United States men’s gymnastics Olympic trials June 27 and 29 in Minneapolis. The Deerfield, Illinois native picked a good time to have the meet of his life. He accomplished what he set out to do during the two-day event with zero falls and hitting all his routines. Juda finished fourth in the all-round and top-five in four events: floor (second), pommel horse (third), vault (fourth), and high bar (fifth). His Olympic dream was now left in the hands of the selection committee, who used an algorithm based on scores from the U.S. Championships and Olympic trials to determine the five members and two alternates who will represent the U.S. in Paris July 26-Aug. 11.

DRW Prospect camp highlights, and pick your path
2009 doesn’t feel like it was THAT long ago. My wife and I walked into Centre Ice Arena in Traverse City to see how “the sausage was made” as it were. The workshops were written about, the on ice drills were a thrill for fans, and everyone knew which restaurant and bowling alley to go to just to try and hang out with some players. Comparing the prospect portion of the summer from then until now is almost impossible.
