PennDOT Sets Next Public Meeting for State College Area Connector Project
PennDOT has moved to the next phase for the planned State College Area Connector and will hold its first public meeting on the project since 2022 in August. The department and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) published on Wednesday a Notice of Intent to Prepare an Environmental Impact Statement. The notice initiates the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) phase of project development, which includes preliminary engineering and environmental studies. One of Penn State’s biggest recruiting weekends of the year is finally here. The Nittany Lions’ annual Lasch Bash barbecue event begins Friday, with major prospects from the 2025, 2026 and 2027 classes all headlining the visit. It’s largely the unofficial kickoff to 2026 recruiting cycle, but with the current state of Penn State’s 2025 group, the Lions need to seal the deal on a few more names.
