Enfield to celebrate 4th of July with annual Independence Day parade

According to Enfield Fourth of July Town Celebration, the 5K will run through Old Thompsonville Village along its race course ending down historic Enfield Street. This race, which is being sponsored by Fleet Feet of Longmeadow, will have racers coming from all over New England to participate.

The race will feature a great atmosphere, cash prizes, trophies, medals, refreshments, and fun. As part of the registration, each racer will be provided a beverage of their choice, but an ID is required for alcohol.

Registration for the 5K on Saturday begins at 7:30 AM at the corner of North Main St and the Town Hall Access road on Higgins Green. The race is set to begin at 9:00 AM.

A 1K race for kids under 14 will also be a feature of the 4th of July event. Ribbons will be given to all participants and the top finishers will receive medals. Registration for the kids’ races is only available on Saturday.
