• April is a 6-year-old spayed female schnauzer/poodle mix. She is housebroken and crate trained. April knows some commands — and she does not shed!

• Yugi is a spayed female tabby cat with beautiful swirl patterns in her fur. She is just 1 year old and has lived with other cats.

• Lobster was dumped from the back of a truck and was wandering around until he ended up in a lady’s backyard. She made sure he was fed and had plenty of water — but he would wander off before she got up each morning. After a week of this, the lady called to get someone to help Lobster, and the people from Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center got him, fixed him up and then sent him here. Now he’s looking for a forever family to show him how special he is.

• Heathcliff is sweet as honey, and always eager to share purrs and head bumps. He’s friendly, too — a social butterfly among cats and humans alike. You’ll find Heathcliff to be the cuddliest companion, happy to curl up in your lap for a peaceful snooze. He’s mellow, preferring quiet afternoons to wild adventures. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving and laid-back friend, Heathcliff is your cat.
