Mariners could look to acquire an outfielder from San Fran as Giants become sellers
Even after acquiring Randy Arozarena, the Mariners could use another outfielder, especially with Julio missing significant time because of his high ankle sprain. Right field is unquestionably the weakest position in the outfield with Mitch Haniger continuing to struggle both offensively and defensively. Is this a gap that could be filled by Mike Yastrzemski?

Interview: Aaron Schatz on why DVOA projects the Seahawks to be in playoff hunt
Will the Seattle Seahawks return to the playoffs in their first year under head coach Mike Macdonald? Based on advanced metrics, the answer is about 50-50. Earlier this month, Aaron Schatz’s FTN Football Almanac 2024 was released, and in the annual DVOA preseason projections, the Seahawks have a playoff probability of 48.2%, which is a little higher than the previous season when they did miss out. Their average win total would be about 9 wins, mimicking the previous two years under Geno Smith. It may seem like jogging in place, but it’s not that bad considering the roster turnover and new coaching staff.

Mariners could look to make a second trade with the Rays to add another bat
After acquiring Randy Arozarena from the Rays late Thursday night, the word on the street is that the Mariners are not done looking for offensive help. Don't get me wrong, Randy Arozarena is great. He will be penciled in to play every day in left field, and the Mariners did not overpay to acquire him. But looking at the Mariners roster right now, they still need another bat or two.

Seahawks CB Tre Brown has caused problems for Geno, DK and Lockett
Easily the most intriguing position group to watch for the Seattle Seahawks this summer is cornerback. Going into last year, it was assumed this was going to be among the strengths of the team. While there were certainly bright spots – such as the emergence of rookie sensation Devon Witherspoon – the secondary did leave a little to be desired. This led the Seahawks to draft a pair of Auburn corners – DJ James and Nehemiah Pritchett – to add to the mix. Some could view it as depth building, but others (such as myself) interpreted it this way: competition. Seattle was...
