The congregation at Central City's St. James Church celebrated 165 years of worshipping together. This tradition of dressing up in 1850s-period clothing began around 10 years ago and has become a much-anticipated tradition.It was 1859, and gold had just been discovered in what would become Clear Creek County. Aurora OKs water reuse study with agencies
The Aurora City Council voted Monday to move forward with a water reuse feasibility study in partnership with Denver Water and Metro Water. Denver Water and Aurora Water own and operate city water supplies for their respective cities, and Metro Water owns and operates sewage disposal systems and wastewater treatment plants in Denver and Brighton, according to city documents.
Digital Marketing Boot Camp Success
The North Metro Small Business Development Center (SBDC) The North Metro Small Business Development Center (SBDC) recently celebrated several businesses for completing the 6-week Digital Marketing Boot Camp (DMB). Held once a year, the City of Westminster sponsors this course and provides scholarships for Westminster businesses to attend this Boot Camp at no charge in order to help them craft a personalized marketing plan that helps guide their efforts for the next 12 months. This celebration was held at Quinto Neighborhood Pizzeria where 3 students attended and were honored with certificates of completion. Instructor Peter Brissette, CEO of Digital Marketing Dude, was also presented with the Fearless Leader Award. Young boy struck by vehicle in Firestone Park July 11 has died
The young boy who was struck by a vehicle while riding his bike in Firestone Park on July 11 has died, according to the Summit County Medical Examiner's Office. Kingston Solomon, 7, passed away the next day, July 12, at Akron Children's Hospital at 2:35 p.m. His death was from blunt force trauma to the head and was ruled an accident, Gary Guenther of the medical examiner's office said.

The suspect who allegedly shot a police officer Sunday in Northern Colorado before being shot and killed by police has been identified.Fort Collins police responded to a single-vehicle rollover crash around 12:40 p.m. near Mountain Avenue and Bryan Avenue. When officers arrived, a man -- later identified as 42-year-old Clayton Pierce -- was standing outside his car with a gun, the police department said in a news release Monday.Pierce shot at police, striking one officer who has not yet been identified, according to the department. A traffic stop for a routine violation led to a "substantial" seizure of more than $300,000 worth of cocaine in Colorado's high country on July 17.
