Elmira Police investigate early morning crash injuring teen
Elmira Police are investigating an early morning car crash that left a teenager injured. According to police, a 16-year-old was standing on the roof of a car traveling at high speeds on the 300 block of Walnut Street just before 1:30 a.m. The teen fell from the moving vehicle and was injured. He was taken to Robert Packer Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.

State agriculture officials have confirmed the presence of spotted lanternfly in the Finger Lakes region, a concerning development for local grape growers.
