Sears Trostel Lumber & Millwork announces new ownership
Sears Trostel Lumber & Millwork, a lumber supplier and millwork manufacturer based in Fort Collins, CO since 1929, has announced its sale to new owner, David Seidl, a Fort Collins entrepreneur. The company was previously owned by Curt Viehmeyer and Steve Schwartz, who have played a pivotal role in its success and longevity since purchasing the business from the family of Bob Sears in 1981. The sale was finalized on July 1, 2024.
Smoke From Wildfires Causing Glow In The Air In Fort Collins
There’s a bit of a glow in the air around Fort Collins and while it may look mysterious, the source is a seasonal one. According to the Coloradoan, it’s coming from wildfires burning across the West and Canada. A wildfire and smoke map shows Fort Collins covered by a “medium density” smoke cloud, with many fires burning in other states to the north, southwest and northwest. Winds in Fort Collins were blowing from the northwest on Monday morning, and the National Weather Service attributed the smoke to fires in the western United States and Canada.
