Roberto and his wife Dolores started their careers by supplying restaurants with tortillas. In the summer of 1964, they opened their own tortilla factory.

That led to their opening of San Diego's first traditional-style taco shop.

Roberto's was an immediate hit in San Diego because of their authentic and inexpensive food. Roberto's passion for fresh ingredients and friendly service has helped it stand the test of time.

Today, Roberto's has over 80 locations in California, Nevada, and Texas. Despite the growth, the business continues to be family-operated, which allows it to stay true to its roots.
