Two women from Jefferson City are seriously injured in a Morgan County crash. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Charla Bacon, 62, was driving on Highway 52 Wednesday afternoon about a mile-and-a-half east of Versailles. The patrol says Bacon was making a left-hand turn when she traveled into the path of an oncoming car, causing the car to strike her SUV.

Morgan County man seriously injured when his truck collides with UTV north of Camdenton
A Morgan County man is seriously injured when his pickup truck strikes a UTV in Camden County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says it was just before 7:00 last night when Boone Bax, 40, of Barnett, was driving down Highway 5, about eight miles north of Camdenton, when he pulled up behind a UTV. The UTV driver had stopped to turn onto Twin Rivers Point Road. Troopers say Bax failed to stop, began skidding off the side of the road, hit the UTV, and overturned.
Judge to decide case of Jefferson City man charged in accidental shooting death of girlfriend
A judge will hear the case of a Jefferson City man accused of accidentally shooting and killing his girlfriend. Joshua Wilbers is charged with first-degree involuntary manslaughter and armed criminal action. A jury trial had been scheduled to start Monday. But, during a hearing on Friday, Wilbers waived his right to a jury trial, opting for a bench trial. Cole County Judge Jon Beteem will hear the case Tuesday and will eventually issue a verdict.
