Osage Beach Seeks Bids For New Veterans Memorial Project
The City of Osage Beach is putting the call out for bids to be submitted for the Veteran’s Memorial project. The work will include, among other things: the removal of an existing landscape island and installation of the new memorial to be comprised of flag poles and flags, a raised concrete pedestal, statues, a headstone and different areas for the donor brick program.

Man from Cole County convicted of manslaughter after killing his girlfriend in 2022
It has been ruled that Joshua Wilbers is responsible for the death of his girlfriend, as he has been convicted of first-degree involuntary manslaughter. In November 2022, Hallie Phillips, a 20-year-old, was fatally shot by Wilbers from Jefferson City. Following a bench trial, Wilbers was found guilty of the crime on Wednesday. He is scheduled to be sentenced on October 1.
