Project: A new subdivision called East Mountain near Moon Mountain City Park.

Location: Deerfern Road and Rockrose Lane, Eugene.

In Eugene’s tight housing market, it can be a challenge for individuals and households to find the right fit for their needs and lifestyles.

A new subdivision in the Laurel Hill region of Eugene aims to provide new homes for sale in the Southeast hills. The subdivision, East Mountain, has seven different two-story floor plans to choose from, ranging from three-bedroom, two-bathroom dwellings to homes with four bedrooms and three bathrooms. Prices for these homes start in the $500,000 range.

East Mountain is located near parks such as Moon Mountain City Park, Laurel Hill Park, Amazon Park and the Floral Hill trailhead. The neighborhood sits about a 10-minute drive from Edison Elementary School, Roosevelt Middle School and South Eugene High School. It takes about five minutes to drive to the University of Oregon campus and just over 10 minutes to get to Lane Community College’s main campus off of E. 30th Ave.

Over 20 of the homes in the East Mountain subdivision have already been sold and occupied while several houses are still under construction for future move-ins.

Subdivision Size: There are currently over 50 homes that are either sold, for sale or slated for future sale.

Developer: Holt Homes, serving Oregon and Southwest Washington.

Sources: City of Eugene Planning and Development Department Permit Records, Lane County Property Records, Holt Homes.
