The Big Ten now has 18 teams after the Oregon Ducks, Washington Huskies, UCLA Bruins, and USC Trojans joined the conference in the offseason. Last season, Washington beat Oregon to win its 18th Pac-12 title in program history.

In a recent edition of The Herd with Colin Cowherd , Joel Klatt said Oregon could win the Big Ten this year. He praised the Ducks and their "top four" college football roster.

"They certainly could. I do think it wouldn't shock me; it wouldn't surprise me. This is easily one of the top four rosters in all of college football," Klatt said. "You can call them a finesse Pac-12 team; they are anything but that... It won't surprise me at all if Oregon is able to win the Big Ten."

Oregon lost quarterback Bo Nix to the NFL Draft and reloaded the position with former Oklahoma Sooners star Dillon Gabriel. Gabriel had 6,828 passing yards and 55 touchdowns at Oklahoma from 2022 to 2023.

The Ducks added players like former Alabama Crimson Tide safety Peyton Woodyard, former Washington corner Jabbar Muhammad, and former Michigan State Spartans defensive lineman Derrick Harmon from the portal.

Dan Lanning reenlisted stars like tight end Terrance Ferguson, linebacker Jeffery Bassa, and defensive end Jordan Burch. Oregon's roster is stacked, and the talent on both sides of the ball is impressive.

The Ducks will face the Idaho Vandals in their season opener on Aug. 31.
