Leesburg man nabbed in Wildwood after late night traffic stop
A Leesburg man was arrested during a traffic stop in Wildwood when an officer discovered his license was suspended. An officer spotted a dark Kia sedan following closely to a vehicle and turning all functional lights on and off on the vehicle while approaching County Road 213 on Kilgore Street around 11:20 p.m. Saturday, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. A bank robbery suspect was arrested after handing a teller a note demanding one cent. Michael Patrick Fleming, 41, of Summerfield, entered the Chase Bank on U.S. Hwy. 441 in Lady Lake at about 4 p.m. Saturday and filled out a withdrawal slip for one cent, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. He handed the note to a teller.

A 20-year-old woman living in the U.S. illegally has been accused of raping a Central Florida 12-year-old boy. Amanda Romero Maradiaga, of DeBary, was arrested and has been charged with lewd or lascivious battery of a 12-year-old boy. She allegedly raped the child at the boy’s father’s home in DeBary.

A Central Florida armed robbery suspect and known gang member was arrested after stealing more than $2,000 worth of cigarettes from a Walgreens in Tampa. On June 28th, just before 1pm, 28-year-old Malcolm Green entered the Walgreens, located at 12211 West Hillsborough Ave, and walked behind the counter. Green approached the clerk, lifted his shirt, removed a large plastic bag, and displayed a gun with an extended magazine.

Prior to the officer’s arrival, the Leesburg Communications Center advised Quinones had bitten the complainant’s finger.
