West Fork Falls in Class 2A Consolation Game to End State Run
The West Fork softball team fell 4-0 to Lisbon in a Class 2A consolation game on Wednesday afternoon. After a 90 minute weather delay, the game resumed in the bottom of the first inning. The game was scoreless until the bottom of the third inning, Lisbon broke the scoreless tie on a two run home run by Chloe Clausen to left center field. After loading the bases in the bottom of the fifth inning, Lisbon added two more runs on a pair of RBI singles, to make the score 4-0. West Fork had their best scoring chance of the day in the top of the seventh with two runners on and no outs but was unable to capitalize on the opportunity. The Warhawks were held to one hit in the contest.
