    Evansville man accused of forging stolen checks

    HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – An Evansville man was arrested after authorities say he forged checks that were stolen during a burglary.

    According to an affidavit, Evansville Police began investigating reports of several personal checks from a single account being forged and deposited to an account owned by Corey Jackson, 36. Police say the eight checks deposited by Jackson totaled $1,815.

    Jackson was booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail on charges of theft, forgery and fraud.
