HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – An Evansville man was arrested on drug charges after police were called to get him out of a woman’s residence.

According to an affidavit obtained by Eyewitness news, police were called to Eden Drive in Evansville about a man with a gun.

Police say when they arrived, they identified Jimmie Banks as the man they were called about, but he did not have a firearm. The caller later admitted he never had a gun.

Police say the caller wanted Banks and all his property out of their residence. Banks clarified he did not live there; police say they believe he was homeless.

After a search of the residence police found all of Banks’s property, including several plastic bags, a backpack and a single strap black bag. Police say the backpack had a lock on the zipper.

Police searched all of Banks’s property and found leafy substances and what appeared to be drugs and paraphernalia.

Police say they found 277.6 grams of marijuana, 12.6 grams of methamphetamine, 93 grams of Mushroom Belgian Chocolate, and 1 gram of fentanyl.
