HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — An Evansville man was arrested on Thursday after authorities say he admitted to using his phone to view child pornography.

According to an affidavit, authorities were informed in December of two Dropbox accounts that had files that were flagged as child pornography. Evansville Police say that almost 1,000 files were tagged as illegal content.

Investigators say they were able to link the Dropbox accounts to Lucas Ray Cash, 29. During an interview on June 24, police say Cash initially denied ever using Dropbox, and said that his phone had been acting unusual after visiting a pornographic website. However, the affidavit says Cash later admitted to using his phone to view child pornography, but said that he “kicked it” because it was disgusting.

During an interview, police say Cash also admitted to having a second phone hidden in his home that he used to view child pornography. An affidavit says the hidden phone contained 18 images and five videos that were tagged as child pornography, and Cash’s primary phone contained 10 images and six video files that were determined to be child pornography.

According to the affidavit, at least one video recovered in the investigation depicted sexual abuse of a girl estimated to be between four and six years old.

Cash was arrested and charged with three counts of possession of child pornography. He is being held on a $5,000 bond.
