EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — After weeks of work, the fountain in Haynie’s Corner in Evansville is up and running again.

Last season, crews determined one of the pumps was broken.

Though the city says it ordered the necessary equipment on the same day it noticed the issue, staff waited months for the part.

Now that the fountain is working again, the city hopes the fountain will stay on through the remainder of the summer.

“We are thrilled that it’s finally in and the fountain is going,” Evansville Parks and Recreation Director Danielle Crook says. “This is a great say for a lot of people, and I know it’s a great say for the Parks Department as well.”

Crews will likely shut off the water for the season in October.
