City places lien on W. 13th St. property after house demolition
CASPER, Wyo. — The owner of a property on West 13th Street owes the City of Casper more than $12,000. During its regular meeting Tuesday, the Casper City Council authorized placement of a lien for no more than $12,105 against the property at 1342 W. 13th St. for costs relating to asbestos testing and demolition.
Wyoming Firearms & Outdoor Recreation Expo at David Street Station
The Wyoming Firearms and Outdoor Recreation Expo at David Street Station is happening in Casper on Saturday, July 20 from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Admission is free to the public. CASPER, Wyo. – A global technology IT outage is impacting Wyoming operations on Friday. According to a social media post on Friday morning, WYDOT said the outage has taken down Driver Services, including issuing of IDs and drivers licenses. Their website is down, but their road info website is operational.

Big D convenience store planned for Poplar and Wyo Blvd. in Casper
CASPER, Wyo. — Site work is underway at the location of a planned Big D convenience store on the south side of Wyoming Boulevard and South Poplar Street in Casper. Plans submitted to the City of Casper Planning Division show renderings of a modern Big D with its trademark pitched red roof and rock wall exterior siding. At the site — which is just west of the Rocky Mountain Carwash facility — underground fuel tanks can be seen awaiting installation as crews work on leveling and infrastructure. No foundation has been laid as of mid-July.
Casper’s midcentury M Building to be featured 2024 Christmas ornament
CASPER, Wyo. — One of the most distinctive examples of Wyoming architecture will dress up Christmas trees this coming holiday season. According to a social media post from the City of Casper Historic Preservation Commission, the M Building at 234 E. Second St. has received the most votes in the commission’s Second Annual Historic Building Christmas Ornament Contest.
