The seemingly endless and at times hopeless debate about how to reduce overcrowding in the Everett Public Schools can be settled by the administration and the city council, and the superintendent of schools by opting to use both the former high school and the former Pope John facility instead of fighting over which facility to use.

Milton High School students advocate for stricter alcohol policies at Mass State House. Two Milton High students joined others from across Massachusetts to testify at the State House in front of the Joint Committee on Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure. This committee oversees alcohol policy and these young people were sharing their thoughts about the impact of alcohol on their communities. Maya Sekhar and Melina Zullas had strong messages for the policy makers in the room as well as their colleagues. “Youth using alcohol in parks has caused growing safety issues including property damage, fights and assaults,” shared Ms. Sekhar.

BOSTON - Suffolk University is buying a downtown building that's home to a popular Boston bar and plans to add housing for nearly 300 students.The school said Wednesday it closed a deal to buy 101 Tremont St along the Freedom Trail.
