Morgantown’s Metropolitan Theater celebrates 100th anniversary
MORGANTOWN, W.Va (WDTV) - For 100 years, the Metropolitan Theater has resided on High Street in Morgantown. Over that time, over 1,100 guests could be seated in the theater’s velvet seats on any given day to watch a movie, concert and other performances. Now, on its 100th anniversary, visitors can reflect on the community’s cultural anchor which was placed on the National Register for Historic Places in 1984.

The West Virginia University Board of Governors is seeking feedback from the public through an online survey, according to a news release from the university.
