There is a good chance Reba McEntire‘s worlds will collide this fall. The Country Music Hall of Fame member will appear as a coach on the upcoming season of The Voice, and also star in the new sitcom, Happy’s Place, with both shows airing on NBC.

McEntire will serve as a coach this season along with Gwen Stefani, Snoop Dogg and Michael Bublé, who she says could all possibly make an appearance on Happy’s Place as well.

“In a skinny minute, yes!” McEntire tells TV Insider, when asked if she would consider casting her fellow coaches. “Snoop wants to be on the show. Michael Bublé wants to be on the show. Gwen will just come visit, she didn’t say she wanted to be on the show.”

It wouldn’t be hard for the coaches to join McEntire, since the places the two shows are filmed are very close to each other.

“You just have to walk across the alley,” Melissa Peterman, who also stars in Happy’s Place, says. “The two stages are next to each other.”

Having two shows on TV at the same time still isn’t without its challenges. Fortunately, McEntire has never been afraid of a little hard work, especially when it is two TV shows she is passionate about.

“Some days [the shoots] are overlapping,” McEntire admits. “But it’s so much better than two years ago when I was doing Big Sky in Albuquerque for ABC, and then flying to the East Coast for concerts on the weekend. This is a piece of cake.”

The timing of filming two shows may not be ideal, but McEntire is thrilled to be part of a new TV show, especially one that stars both Peterman, her former Reba co-star, and her boyfriend, Rex Linn.

“It’s lots of fun,” McEntire tells NBC, speaking of the new TV series. “I love all genres of entertainment. But the sitcoms are so much fun, cause it’s a brand new script every week. And you’re just having fun. It’s really hard memorizing dialogue you have to do, but it ain’t my first rodeo. I do love it. And it’s just playtime. We have a blast with it.”

“It’s gonna be that heartfelt, fun, funny, laugh at our silliness,” she adds. “But also, [you’ll] be touched with the heart in our show.”

McEntire is heading into Season 26 of The Voice as a winner, with her teammate Asher HaVon, who won last season. After this upcoming season, the 69-year-old will take a break from The Voice. The coaches for Season 27 will be Kelsea Ballerini, Adam Levine, Snoop Dogg and Bublé.

Season 26 of The Voice will premiere on September 23. Happy’s Place will premiere on October 18.

McEntire has also been announced as the host for the 60th ACM Awards in 2025. McEntire, who also hosted in 2024, will make history as the artist who has hosted the live ceremony the most.
