Excelsior Springs, MO — The Willadsem family, longtime residents of Excelsior Springs, have been named the August 2024 Thrive Curb Appeal winners for their colorful and welcoming home. The award, sponsored this month by Beacon Realty, was presented Thursday by Beacon Realty representative Cora Boothe to David Willadsem and his grandson, Truman Doty.

The Willadsems, who have called Excelsior Springs home for 33 years, have created a standout yard with large, colorful pots filled with Mandevilla sanderi, also known as Brazilian jasmine. David Willadsem shared that his passion for gardening is a family affair, with his grandchildren often joining him in painting rocks to decorate the flowerbeds.
